Let’s do the math. Comic books in the early 1930s were 64 pages of art and story at about 12 panels per page. Most stories were eight pages in length. That equals about 768 panels for 10 cents, or a tiny fraction of 1 cent per panel. Speed Demonz is 32 pages and most of those feature one, two, or three panels per page. There are 77 panels in the first issue. Cost: $4.00. That’s 19.25 cents per panel. Is Speed Demonz worth it?
