Last Resort #3 of 5
IDW Comics
Palmiotti, Gray & Caracuzzo
The plane crash survivors discover they aren't all alone on the Island as they encounter more than a few "sick" individuals, not all of which are human. The result is some of the core characters getting killed in spectacular fashion. Meanwhile, some of the other normal characters, not from the plane crash, begin to shed some light on the cause and scope of the epidemic. It's a great issue as it ties in some elements of horror, satire and some great dialogue. The artwork hits its stride in this issue as the gore is ratcheted up. This is a good comic book.

Last Resort #2 of 5

The plane exploded last issue and this issue deals with the aftermath. We have a couple of the characters getting a lot of panel time as opposed to the wider cast, lower face time combination from the last issue and it works to magnify the potential leaders. The issue also takes a surprising turn as it reveals parts of the reasons behind the zombies. It’s a good issue that captures the drama of the situation at hand.

The Last Resort #1 of 5

The Last Resort takes the old 1970s disaster film concept and adds in the twist of zombies with some gore, some humor and some outrageous characters. This comic was a fun read despite the fact that it had the backdrop of death throughout the entire book. This opening issue establishes some of the characters and puts the larger cast in an impossible situation that will probably end badly for most of them before the series is over. This was a very good comic.
