![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Frank Frazetta’s Dracula Meets the Wolfman The latest installment from the Frazetta line has us visit some familiar characters: Dracula and the Wolfman. True to much of the Frazetta line, the story takes a backseat here as the reader is supposed to kick back and enjoy the visuals. Generally, for a one shot, this issue delivers a good fight but not a ton of story to remember. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Frank Frazetta's Creatures The Frank Frazetta line of comics rolls along with perhaps its boldest incarnation to date. This is a comic that takes a president and turns him into a warrior fighting against the supernatural. You read that right. Theodore Roosevelt was known as a rough rider and as president, but in this story he is also a Ghostbuster. Or maybe he’s Indiana Jones. He’s something, but whatever he is, he kicks ass. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Weekly Rankings For 07/30/08 Here are this week’s comics (last week's actually, posted late due to a well deserved vacation for Brandon) ranked prior to reading them, based upon past performance and advance information released on each issue: 5. To be fair, the story is a little light, but the art is why you buy a comic like this in the first place and the art rocks. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Weekly Rankings For 07/16/08 Here are this week’s comics ranked prior to reading them, based upon past performance and advance information released on each issue: 5. Flash #242 Here are the rankings after the first read through with a mini-review: ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Frank Frazetta’s Dark Kingdom The Frazetta line delivers an excellent one shot about a man with revenge in his heart and some rage on his side. This comic is a sword and sorcery comic in the tradition of Conan, Dungeons and Dragons and Lord of the Rings. It has strange creatures, peasants, gigantic monsters and a badass hero. While the highlight of the Death Dealer series was the artwork, this series has a strong mix of a story and the art to match it. For a one shot to pull this off is impressive. Especially with brand new characters.
