Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews
Flash #243
DC Comics
Peyer & Williams
The latest installment of the Flash wraps up a whopping six issue arc. I cant say a whole lot has changed at the conclusion of this arc. In fact, I cant even recap the arc because it bounced around so much, but this particular issue is okay. It isn’t great, but it didn’t offend me either.

Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews
Final Crisis Rogues Revenge #1
DC Comics
Johns & Kolins
When I last left the Rogues they were in Flash and being scribed by Geoff Johns. I didn’t read Bart Allen’s Flash, I didn’t read any arc about the villains uniting, getting exiled and I am not reading Final Crisis. Despite all of this I loved this story. I thought it was one of the most surprising comics I’ve read some far this year.

Flash #242
DC Comics
Peyer & Williams II
Flash left off last issue rescuing the frozen Inertia from the burning Flash museum. We don’t know what happened to any of that as this issue fails to mention it. What it does cover is Flash’s daughter, Iris, and her rapid growth problem. The issue really doesn’t have much more than that in it and that’s a shame.

Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews
Flash #241
DC Comics
Peyer & Williams II
This comic has two sides to it. There is the side that gives you a story that moves quickly and shows off some great artwork using some fighting and some nice full page shots. Then there is the side that contains the story. Page after page goes by and by the time you reach the end, none of the elements you read about in the beginning are at all relevant anymore and you lose all villains and reason for their to be a fight. To be blunt this issue is at best just nicely drawn, fast paced non-story and at worst it’s a complete mess.

Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews
Flash #240
DC Comics
Peyer & Williams II
I sense this series coming out of the woods. At long last, a Flash story I can get into. This issue isn’t perfect, but it’s getting there. Flash has a couple of villains to deal with in this issue. Thankfully for him, two of the villains battle each other. However, in the fray, his kids get kidnapped. Add it all up and it makes for an interesting comic.
