Lots of interesting news from WonderCon 2011 at Marvel Comics' Welcome to the X-Men panel, headlined by Rick Remender, Jason Aaron, Axel Alonso, and C.B. Cebulski! Here are some of the highlights:

• The next big X-Men event is called Schism. Written by Jason Aaron and featuring art by Carlos Pacheco, Frank Cho, Adam Kubert, Alan Davis, and Daniel Acuña, it looks like boil down to a Cyclops vs. Wolverine confrontation.
• Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, and other X-characters are returning–in the Age of Apocalypse, that is. Uncanny X-Force will be visiting that timestream and we'll be able to catch up with that reality 10 years after the original storyline.
• The previous adventure will happen during the Dark Angel Saga, starring Archangel! Remender asks, "What is Archangel, and why is everyone accepting him without question?"
• Fans want more Iceman! Really? I did enjoy when he was blessed by a priest (to become holy water) during the X-Men's recent battle with vampires . . .
