Media Release -- Last year, a full fifty lucky fans enjoyed the V.I.P. fan experience at Wizard World Chicago convention, having purchased our V.I.P. Set which included admission and a wealth of rare LADY DEATH comic books and merchandise. We're happy to share the news with you that Avatar Press is coming to town again (August 11-14), and we'd like to offer our fans several new and diverse V.I.P. Set opportunities!
Media Release -- An auction will be held at the Chicago Comic-Con (nee Wizard World Chicago) the evening of Saturday, August 8, 2009 to raise funds for comics veteran John Ostrander, who is undergoing a series of operations and medical treatments to fight off blindness.
A 27-year veteran of the comics field, Ostrander, has long been suffering from glaucoma. Recently, John underwent a series of operations that might have saved his remaining eyesight. Progress has been made but he faces considerably more treatment in the months ahead.
To help Ostrander cover his costs, a committee has been organized called Comix4Sight. Solicitations for the benefit auction have gone out, and the response from the comics community has been overwhelming.
LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 26, 2008 – Top Cow Productions Inc. announced today they are exhibiting at this weekend’s Wizard World Chicago at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois and will bring some special guests, unveil exclusive variants and make new announcements about upcoming projects.
