I admit, I have heard a lot about the ’70s cult-classic movie The Warriors, but I have never seen it. Based on a novel by Sol Yurick, the movie centers on nine members of The Warriors, a New York City gang wrongly accused of killing a gang leader. To survive, they’ve got to get back to Coney Island. The problem? They have at least 59,999 really angry gang members (in some fabulous costumes) trying to kill them.

Media Release -- Dabel Brothers Publishing is pleased to announce an original series to follow up the hit THE WARRIORS comic book movie adaptation based on the iconic Hollywood gang film from Paramount Pictures, now in its 30th anniversary year. The new 4-issue series will be called “Jailbreak,” and it will tell the story of what happens after the movie ends.

Dabel Brothers Publishing is thrilled to announce the creative team of writer David Atchison, artist Chris Dibari, and Kieran Oats as colorist. The Warriors, the widely known cult classic movie from Paramount Pictures, based on Sol Yurick's novel, will be adapted into comic book form come February 2009. The series will be five issues and will sprout a few offshoot series and one-shots.
