In 1990, at the start of the boom of licensed comics, Dark Horse began publishing Terminator. Now, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the first Terminator film, Dark Horse is excited to announce the return of all new Terminator material for a whole new generation of fans!

With renewed interest in the property in both television and film, Dark Horse announced today its intent to begin creating new comics for release in conjunction with the film’s silver anniversary in 2009.

Terminator: Revolution is helmed by legendary Transformers (and Terminator 2: Infinity) writer, Simon Furman, with art by Lui (Red Sonja) Antonio. The series launches with 2 covers featuring art by Richard (Dark Tower) Isanove and Stjepan Sejic. Covers are 50/50 ratio. "Revolution" tells a story set in the dark future of the Terminators, as well as the present day where John Connor and his mother, Sarah, are on the run from the enemies sent against them from the future!

This issue wraps up the crossover between Painkiller Jane and the Terminator. It has been solid so far, and while this issue provides for some good entertainment, I found it to contain instances of major departure from the core of this title’s character. So what does that mean? It means I liked it and disliked it.
