Sheena, Queen of the JungleMedia Release -- Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce their agreement with rights holders Galaxy Publishing and Valdoro Entertainment to publish original comic book and graphic novel content for Sheena, Queen of the Jungle, as well as reprints of the character's classic jungle fantasy material. Described by co-creator Will Eisner as a female counterpart to Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, Sheena will see her first adventure at Dynamite Entertainment teaming with the iconic "Lord of the Jungle" himself. Dynamite's rights also include statues, trading cards, action figures, lithographs / fine art, and t-shirts.

TARZAN: THE COMPLETE RUSS MANNING NEWSPAPER STRIPS is a four-volume series. The first three volumes will chronologically collect all of Manning's daily black & white and full-color Sunday strips from 1967 to 1974, while the fourth volume will collect the remaining Sunday strips, which Manning continued to do until 1979.

When it comes to comic book stories, I'm a sucker for crossovers. It's very basic: when a fan has formed a respect and admiration for two characters, intrigue at the thought of throwing them together naturally follows. And, having grown up on cartoons featuring Batman and Tarzan, the "little guy" in me had the most to say about plunking down the cash for Batman/Tarzan: Claws of The Catwoman.

Tarzan goes digital courtesy of Open Road Integrated MediaMedia Release -- Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher and multimedia content company, announced today that it will digitally publish Andy Briggs's Tarzan: The Greystoke Legacy and Tarzan: The Jungle Warrior in the US this fall in celebration of the centenary of Burroughs's original Tarzan.
