09:00:38 am, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars The Force Unleashed GN Inspired by the video game, this graphic novel explores the hidden apprentice that Darth Vader had at one time. This comic steps itself up only a couple of years prior to the Battle of Yavin. This comic delivers all the aspects of Star Wars that you might expect from the prequel trilogy, but with the tone that the original trilogy had. It has excellent art and makes use of the Republic comic series as well as others from the Expanded Universe. It’s an excellent read. 09:00:31 am, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic #32 The home stretch! Zayne has turned Sith and is getting walking into his former master’s quarters for a death sentence. What?!?! I’m kidding, but I am not kidding about it being close to the end. Zayne confronts his former master who tried to kill him and a huge war breaks out. Literally, a war. It’s a good issue, but not a great one. 05:21:29 pm, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars Rebellion #15 Vector arrives in the time of Luke Skywalker. I had my doubts about how Vector would be handled in Rebellion. After all, Vader already got mixed up with it in Dark Times. Would they have Vader involved again? How could they not? However, this issue may have done the best opening with Vector of the three series. It’s a very good issue not just for Vector but for Rebellion as well. 08:27:31 pm, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars: Dark Times #12 The bittersweet comic for this week falls on the lap of Darth Vader. Vector wraps up in Dark Times and with it, the series, until 2009. As sad as that is, this issue rocks. Darth Vader in action and with some excellent character development from him. When was the last time you heard that? 04:02:33 pm, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars Rebellion #14 Small Victories wraps up with this issue and it continues its mediocre standard that we’ve seen since the beginning. You may recall that Deena was off blowing up a major fuel station while Luke, Leia and a couple of others were held captive in the command center. All this and Rebels are sending some help to pull them out. The story has a pretty nice setup brewing but it fails to capture much of what make Star Wars entertaining. Perhaps because this story is using the classic characters it cant possibly meet the lofty expectations, but it needs to do better regardless. 07:05:46 am, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars Dark Times #11 With Vector moving on to the time after Revenge of the Sith, we find ourselves with a story that heavily involves Darth Vader. This series has already been very good up to this point, but the inclusion of this issue, it puts this series at another level. This issue has everything you would expect from the Vector arc, a Star Wars story and a Darth Vader fan. As promised, you don’t need to have read the Knights of the Old Republic arc to understand the Vector crossover. This issue catches you up to speed and then rockets you through an excellent issue. 03:21:16 pm, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Star Wars Legacy #24 What’s not to love about this issue? We have a little double-crossing intrigue, some fighting, some Cade origin and the revelation that another Skywalker exists. This issue is about as good as it gets for the series. It rates with just about every other issue thus far. Is it perfect? No, it contains some flaws, particularly in the art department.
