Media Release -- The Hangman was one of the Golden Age greats from Archie Comics. Debuting in July of 1941, The Hangman presented several firsts in comic book history, including the first super hero brothers and the first death of a super hero. The Hangman had been featured in four different titles at Archie Comics including "Pep Comics", "Black Hood Comics", "Special Comics" and "Hangman Comics". Archie Comics is pleased to announce that DC Comics will be releasing a new Hangman comic this Wednesday with a script by veteran Hollywood writer J. Michel Strackzynski ("Babylon 5", "Changeling"). Archie Comics is thrilled that DC Comics has brought this classic hero to the present day when The Hangman takes a different and powerful journey into the DC Universe.
