Planet Hulk is the best "comic book" cartoon DVD I've watched recently, and I've sat down and viewed five of them in the last two weeks. From beginning to end, I found the plot, dialogue, animation and action to be solid, though not perfect.

Hulk TPB - Planet HulkThe Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk, published by Marvel Publishing, Inc., 416 pages, $34.99 retail.

After hearing about it for the last few years, this Johnny-come-lately finally sat down and read Planet Hulk. In my defense, I believe I am part of a growing group of comics fans who are being forced by escalating prices, not only to "wait for the trade", but to wait for it to go on sale on Amazon or Ebay. Sue me.

Planet HulkMedia Release -- New York Comic Con (NYCC) and Newsarama.com have today announced a bicoastal event to take place on January 14th, 2010 at the Paley Center for Media's NY and LA branches centered around Marvel Animation’s critically lauded and top-selling Planet Hulk saga that originally debuted to comic book fans in 2006. The event will feature an exclusive first screening of the upcoming animated film of the same name from Lionsgate Home Entertainment and Marvel Animated Features as well as an opportunity to meet the talent behind both the popular comic book and the animated film during an evening that will also include limited-edition giveaways and creator signings.
