Muppet Sherlock Holmes #4 of 4
Boom! Kids Comics
Storck & Mebberson
Muppet Sherlock Holmes wraps up with a good case that really plays off as something interactive. The cast of characters expands a bit for this issue which helps to keep things interesting as well. The issue contains some good one-liners, explosions and some of the expected Muppet nonsense that is as welcome as ever. Overall this is the best issue of the mini series and is an enjoyable book all on its own.

Muppet Show #11
Boom Kids! Comics
Langridge
Roger Langridge continues his arc dealing with monsters and other Halloween related characters with a look at Frankenstein. Which Muppet would make a good symbolic Frankstein? You guessed it: Beaker. This issue may be my favorite among the arc that has visited such characters as the Wolfman and the Mummy because it matches the theme perfectly with the characters within the story. Of course it doesn't hurt that the issue is very funny complete with songs and skits. This is a terrific issue.

Muppet Show #6
Boom! Kids Comics
Langridge, Mebberson, Cobain & Bennett
The latest Muppet Show comic book uses the theme of adoption and/or foster care to wrap the stories of the issue together. The idea is more heartfelt than the usual slapstick type themes but there generally is a certain sweetness to these issues and this one is no different. Robin, Kermit's nephew, is feeling unwanted and gets some advice from Scooter's sister to live life on the run. This is fueled because a mysterious older woman is hanging around the theater and the paranoid thought is she is there from an orphanage to collect Robin. It's a good issue but doesn't quite hit the funny bone as all of the previous ones have.

Muppet Show #4
Boom! Studios Kids
Langridge & Mebberson
Another issue of the Muppet Show brings more witty laughs with some of the usual skits backed up with a new theme. This issue deals with genes and it allows the introduction of Scooter's twin sister. The comic book isn't drawn by Langridge, but by Amy Mebberson who has past Muppet experience and shows how her work has developed to the point that it stands up to anyone's Muppet work. This is another fun and clever story.

Muppet Show #2
Boom! Kids Comics
Langridge & Cobain
As the Muppet traveling show rolls on this issue explores a stand-in character for Fozzie in the form of Clint Wacky. The issue centers around the character and puts the Muppets in a funny setting to tell the story. It's a good comic that is smart and funny at the same time while maintaining the high level of storytelling we've seen from The Muppet Show comics all along.

The Muppet Show #0
DC Comics
Langridge & Paroline
The Muppet Show is now an ongoing rather than a series of minis and this marks the launch. What we see is a shift from the mini series' format which was mostly centered around the theater and the TV show's original format. Now the Muppets are on the road and this is more reminiscent of the first movies some thirty years ago. It's a good comic that has a self contained story and a plot that still manages to draw in familiar TV show skits. We also have a newcomer on the art duties in Shelli Paroline, as Roger Langridge is credited only as the writer for this issue. This is a fun comic and a good way to launch the ongoing.

The Muppet Show: The Treasure of Peg Leg Wilson #4 of 4
Boom! Kids Comics
Langridge
The Muppets wrap up this arc with a bang, as the rats (and dwarfs) continue to destroy the theater looking for the treasure. But what about other plots like Piggy's jewelry and Animal's sudden sophistication? Well, this issue satisfies everything and provides quite a few laughs in the process. This is another "can't miss" Muppet comic for sure.

The Muppet Show: The Treasure of Peg Leg Wilson #3 of 4
Boom! Kids Comics
Langridge
This issue ramps up the efforts to find the treasure while the plot thread with Animal begins to reach a boiling point. It's another amazing effort by Roger Langridge as he takes the Muppet Show and puts his own stamp on it. The concept of having an arc that stretches across the individual stories seems to be great fodder for great stories in the individual issues as is evidenced here. This is another excellent comic book.
