Top Cow's Magdalena series follows a line of female warriors who can see into the human heart and give them the chance to redeem themselves–or feel the wrath of her Spear of Destiny! Descended from Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, the Magdalena is the protector of the Catholic Church and defender of the innocent!
Although the character of Magdalena has been around since 1998, her ongoing series, starring the newest Magdalena, Patience, just debuted this year. We recently had the chance to speak with her creative team, writer Ron Marz, artist Nelson Blake III, and cover artist Ryan Sook, and pick their brains about Magdalena's past, present, and future!

LOS ANGELES, Calif., July 25, 2008 – Top Cow Productions Inc. announced today that actors Jenna Dewan (“Step up,” “The Grudge 2”) and Luke Goss (“Hellboy II: The Golden Army,” “Blade II”), who were recently announced as starring in a movie based on The Magdalena comic series, will appear at the publisher’s panel on Saturday, July 26 at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about their involvement with the project. In addition, the actors will sign “Magdalena” posters at the Top Cow booth (#2329) after the panel. Dewan will also appear at the Top Cow booth on Friday for an hour-long signing.

LOS ANGELES, July 22, 2008 - Gale Anne Hurd's Valhalla Motion Pictures, producer of Marvel Studios' Summer hit release "The Incredible Hulk" and Platinum Studios, Inc. (OTCBB: PDOS), an entertainment company that controls an international library of more than 5,600 comic book characters which it adapts, produces and licenses for all forms of media and Top Cow Productions, an entertainment company specializing in building intellectual properties through comic book and graphic novel publication like Universal's summer's box office hit "Wanted", have attached Jenna Dewan and Luke Goss to star in the feature film "Magdalena" based on Top Cow's comic book character "Magdalena," which is currently in development.
