Rererring to "Justice League" and "Superman Vs Batman" as "stalled," Warner Brothers has announced plans to work on a number of other movies based upon DC Comics characters. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Green Lantern Corps #27 Another solid issue for the Corps. Even though the arc with the big battle with Mongul has just ended, this issue doesn’t do an all out cool down issue. There are a lot of plot lines here. Some are meant to sort of kick your heels up and relax while others are definitely meant to provide information for future arcs and remind the reader that not everything is rosy. The artwork continues to hit on all cylinders. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Green Lantern #33 Part five of the updated origin of Hal Jordan takes us to some familiar ground: the early relationship between Hal and Sinestro. On the surface it seems like there isn’t a whole lot that can be added to this. However, this issue’s strength is the inclusion of Abin Sur’s relationship to Sinestro, the aspect of the red lanterns and yet another botched job by the Guardians. Those little guys are always making friends aren’t they? Per Production Weekly and Slash Film, the Green Lantern movie is in active development with three writers, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael J Green. Tags: dc comics, green lantern
![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Green Lantern #32 Green Lantern’s origin retelling rolls right along with the introduction of Sinestro and the expansion of Carol involved with Hal and the making of the villain Hector Hammond. This issue has an awful lot going on and on the surface provides an enjoyable and visually wonderful read. However, some points within this story still make for a patchy origin. When you consider this story was supposed to be the definitive origin then why do I keep finding glaring oddities? ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Green Lantern #31 The retelling of the origin of Hal Jordan continues with perhaps the best issue of a very good arc. Hal has the ring and is a Green Lantern. Well, he’s actually a recruit. This issue deals with his training to earn his emblem. However, the issue does address other events around the training that will play a part in further issues in this arc and future arcs. It’s such a great issue. ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Green Lantern #30 The second issue of the Secret Origin arc. I loved a couple of things in this issue. However, there are one or two items in here that I absolutely did not like. That isn’t to say this is a bad issue. It is not, it’s a very good one. However, as a Green Lantern fan I was a little put off with some of the material and as a long time Green Lantern fan I was a little upset with the continuity aspects of the issue. It’s up to you to decide if you find these items annoying or not. 09:29:37 am, by ComicList Categories: Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Reviews, Geek Goggle Reviews ![]() Brandon Borzelli's Geek Goggle Reviews Here are this week's comics ranked both prior to purchase and then after one reading.
