Media Release -- DC Comics announces that GEARS OF WAR #9 will have a Variant Edition with a cover by Chris Perna. For every 10 copies of the Standard Edition (MAY090224), with a cover by Jim Lee, retailers may order one copy of the Variant Edition (MAY098102).
GEARS OF WAR #1 and 2, the sold-out first two issues of the hot new series from WildStorm, are going back to press to be reprinted as the GEARS OF WAR FLIP BOOK #1.
The GEARS OF WAR FLIP BOOK #1 features two covers: a pencils-only version of Brandon Badeaux’s variant cover for issue #1, and a cover with the GEARS OF WAR logo in black on a red background.
DC/WildStorm is going to release a comic series based upon the GEARS OF WAR game.
Cary, N.C. — “Gears of War,” the multi-million copy seller from Epic Games, will soon be coming to newsstands.
DC Comics plans to publish a comic book series based on the man vs. locust horde title this fall. The series will be launched under the WildStorm imprint that is owned by DC Comics. Financial terms were not disclosed.
