Fatale is a series that excels in blending noir, horror and mystery genres all in one. Yes, the series is tied to Lovecraftian horror stories, but the comic book bends established lines. This particular comic book is simply fantastic storytelling in whatever genre you wish to place it. This might be the best comic book in an amazing series. If you pick up one and only one issue from this series then this is the one to buy.

If you've been following comics at any point during the past ten years you've probably come across positive praise for some of the works of Brubaker and Phillips. Fatale is their latest comic series that are stories told about hardened characters doing not-so-heroic things but with a sense of purpose and perhaps honor along the way. Brubaker labels them noir but whether you understand what Brubaker means by this, these books and this book in particular are very entertaining and build drama to the point of becoming thrilling. This issue is a standalone comic and is a perfect issue to dive in the water and give the Brubaker and Phillips comics chain a try.

FATALE #3 sells out, gets 2nd printingMedia Release -- FATALE #3, the latest issue of the horror noir comic by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, sold out a week before its in-store date of March 14. This marks the third issue in a row of the Image series to sell out, making it the best-selling of Brubaker's and Phillips' collaborations to date. A second printing has already been scheduled and it will be in stores on April 4, the same day as FATALE #4.
