Star Wars The Force Unleashed GN
Dark Horse Books
Blackman, Ching, Dazo, Nichols, Atiyeh & Heisler

Inspired by the video game, this graphic novel explores the hidden apprentice that Darth Vader had at one time. This comic steps itself up only a couple of years prior to the Battle of Yavin. This comic delivers all the aspects of Star Wars that you might expect from the prequel trilogy, but with the tone that the original trilogy had. It has excellent art and makes use of the Republic comic series as well as others from the Expanded Universe. It’s an excellent read.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic #32
Dark Horse Comics
Miller, Ching & Atiyeh

The home stretch! Zayne has turned Sith and is getting walking into his former master’s quarters for a death sentence. What?!?! I’m kidding, but I am not kidding about it being close to the end. Zayne confronts his former master who tried to kill him and a huge war breaks out. Literally, a war. It’s a good issue, but not a great one.

Star Wars Rebellion #15
Dark Horse Comics
Williams, Weaver & Glass

Vector arrives in the time of Luke Skywalker. I had my doubts about how Vector would be handled in Rebellion. After all, Vader already got mixed up with it in Dark Times. Would they have Vader involved again? How could they not? However, this issue may have done the best opening with Vector of the three series. It’s a very good issue not just for Vector but for Rebellion as well.

Suspended Animation Review

The Dare Detectives, published by Dark Horse Books, 96 pages, digest-sized, $5.95.

“Frantic” is defined, in part, as “done in a hurried and chaotic way.” It is also the first word that comes to my mind when describing the first issue of The Dare Detectives. Understand, I mean that in the very best way.
