Media Release -- Our loyal fans have depended on ComicList.com for nearly 20 years to help them find the new comic book releases that hit shelves each week. We're now officially announcing that we've joined forces with GoCollect's tech-focused team in an effort to bring new features to our platform.
Charles LePage, the long-time owner/editor here on ComicList, has sold the business to GoCollect for an undisclosed sum. The deal also included a multi-year agreement to ensure Charles stays on as Editor-in-chief of the web site. "Keeping Chuck around is vital to the success of this business," comments Jeff Meyer, founder of GoCollect. "His dedication to timely, accurate comic book release information is the driving force behind the site's immense following."
What will change? The addition to the GoCollect family will open doors to fresh technologies for ComicList to leverage. Comic fans can count on the same, accurate information week in and week out, but they'll soon be able to consume that information more easily. GoCollect promises ComicList will receive improved desktop, tablet and mobile interfaces and eventually the release of apps for both the iOS and Android platforms.
Meet GoCollect at the Chicago Comic ConStop by the booth #223 at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con this weekend (August 21 - 24) to learn more about GoCollect. They'll be giving away free comics and promoting their upcoming Comic Retailer Program.
