Darkness / Eva Crossover Continues In April

February 11, 2008, Runnemede, NJ - Dynamite Entertainment today released images and information concerning the next issue of the all-new DARKNESS/EVA: DAUGHTER OF DRACULA crossover mini-series. This exciting mini-series marks Dynamite's second of three crossover events with Witchblade and The Darkness publisher Top Cow! The mini-series stars Top Cow's Jackie Estacado, also known as The Darkness and Dynamites lethal leading lady, Eva, the Daughter of Dracula. DARKNESS/ EVA: DAUGHTER OF DRACULA #2 is scheduled for an April release.

Top Cow And Dynamite Crossovers Continue In March

January 15, 2008, Runnemede, NJ - Dynamite Entertainment today announces their second of three crossover events with Witchblade and The Darkness publisher Top Cow! This second crossover between Top Cow and Dynamite Entertainment takes place in a four-issue mini-series event titled DARKNESS/EVA: DAUGHTER OF DRACULA. Former Wizard Editorial Director Caylo Joins Top Cow

January 9th, 2008 - Top Cow Productions is proud to welcome a new addition to its staff. Mel Caylo has assumed the role of Vice President of Marketing & Sales, where he will take over for Filip Sablik, who has been promoted to Publisher. Caylo will develop and implement large-scale marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts, working closely with Top Cow’s promotional partners. He will be heavily involved with Top Cow’s trade and consumer show presence, developing Top Cow’s website and weekly “Moosletter,” and become the primary contact point for retailers and press.

Suspended Animation Review

Darkness: Level 2/$2.99 and 23 pages/Paul Jenkins & David Wohl: writers; Tyler Kirkham: pencils/available in comics shops and at www.topcow.com.

This is more like it.

“This” refers to the current incarnation of the comic book series Darkness, a horror title from Top Cow Productions. The preceding issues did not receive kudos in an earlier Suspended Animation review.

“It” refers to the standards that should be met for a comic book to be entertaining. And this Darkness is more entertaining. Oceans of blood and gore have been replaced by ponds. Violence is still an element, and a necessary one, but there is no profanity or graphic sex in this issue, and the seeds of a
rather intriguing plot are planted.
