Our friends at MangaCast write With the boss out and about finding (and maybe even making) some manga news in Japan, the girls in the staff are loose and declares this week Fujoshi week! Blame it on the lack of manly power in the office, but yeah, the girls are picking up titles with lots of manly love in it.

Our friends at MangaCast write Tough week this one. There is some blood and a dirty pair to deal with. Psycho Busters, moon children, newtypes and a vagabond or two should be found in bookstores as well. Now all that might sound intimidating but that’s why the MangaCast is here to help.

Our friends at MangaCast write Looks like the boss may be buried in Freelancer Deadline Hell because I haven’t seen the new releases email, or I just didn’t get it or didn’t notice which is also possible. I just got one small step closer to freedom from the deadlines. If he is buried…Hang in there Boss! Fight with all your might and when you’re done we’ll go grab a beer. On with this weeks list?

Our friends at MangaCast write Finally over my whooping cough but now I am deep in freelance work!! The manga gods saw that and gave the office a relatively quiet manga week. In between adapting chapters for publisher S, I will make sure to study up on my shoujo lingo by reading LIFE. And as soon as I am done editing some lettering proofs for publisher C, I will put the headphones on and rock the night away with BECK. And while I scramble to meet deadlines for magazine P, I will study up on design by staring long and hard at Andromeda Stories and Guin Saga.

Our friends at MangaCast write Argh!! I seriously need to rest and even if lappy’s battery does a good job warming up my chest, the weight is kinda making it hard to breathe. And honestly, my body is already struggling to do that without technology, thanks. Maybe some manga will cure me of what ails me?! I know that chicken soup gave me the dry heaves… Shin-chan help me!!!

Our friends at MangaCast write Gah!! My wallet is crying again. Look at this line up - Otsuka Eiji (Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service), Koike Kazuo (Path of the Assassin), Park SungWoo (NOW), Saitou Takawo (Golgo 13), Urasawa Naoki (MONSTER), Ito Junji (Uzumaki), Yellow Tanabe (Kekkaishi) and Patrick Macias (Otaku USA) - that is almost a baseball team’s worth of goodness with power and finesse at every position. And like paying for a good baseball club, paying for good mangatainment means spending big now and earning dividends in the long term.

Our friends at MangaCast write Good to see a number of pubs this week. A rare Anime Works sighting gives me hope for this pub. Yeah, Eiken is possibly one of the worst titles translated, but T&A sells (right?!?) Like AW, DMP titles are usually of the BL variety but this time DMP Books have two books to share with you, including a fav of AoD’s Matt A - Enchanter. And more Blade of the Immortal always brings a smile to Jarred’s hardened yanki face.
(Press Release) Some people are so heartlessly cool that they can casually disparage Valentine's Day, but some of us (okay, me) are hopeless romantics who aren't above enjoying a heart-shaped box of chocolates (flowers also accepted). Cynics are strongly recommended, this February 14th, to wear pink, eat some candy hearts, and spend some quality time studying the example of manga's most romantic couples:
