Religion has been a taboo in the comic book industry for decades. But with so much rich material stemming from so many religions, it was only a matter of time before pioneering artists paved the way for books we're seeing today.

January 19, 2009 - Debuting on thefictory.com, American Terror: Company Man is an animated short based on the character Victor Sheppard created by Jeff McComsey.
McComsey's graphic novel series, American Terror: Confession of a Human Smart Bomb, centers around Victor Sheppard and his mercenary past.
January 13, 2009 - Jesus and Lincoln are going to face off against a new batch of foes this May - in the form of Alterna characters as zombies! Spoofing and lampooning the recent zombie craze in comics, the titular characters of Jesus Hates Zombies and Lincoln Hates Werewolves will headline "Attack of the Alterna Zombies!".
January 1st, 2009 - A new year will bring a new logo for Alterna Comics. Dropping the word "comics" from their public logo, Alterna has gone the way of many other comics publishers.
Alterna's 2009 convention season kicks off with New York Comic Con in February, but if you can't attend that show here's a listing of events that Alterna is set to exhibit at:

THE DEPENDENTS, a title created by Martin Fisher (RISERS), will find a home as a full color mini-series at Arcana Studios. The series was previously a digital release only on the Alterna Comics digital line-up.
