The Convention Fans website highly recommends this year's Florida SuperCon, and as a Florida resident, I pass along that recommendation to you.

If you’re looking for a great multi-genre convention in South Florida this summer, Florida SuperCon 2009 sounds like it could be perfect for you! This con takes place June 5 - 7, at the The Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Convention Center in Miami, Florida.

Florida SuperCon has a really great guest list for 2009, which includes Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi for starters. The list also includes Edi Gathegi, Stanislav Ianevski, Dana Snyder, Stephanie Yanez, Brian Thompson, Brad Kesten, and many more!

Tickets for the con are $35 for the weekend until June 4, and then $40 at the door. One-day tickets are $20 Fri/Sun, and $25 Saturday. There are also VIP packages and “lifetime” ticket packages available. Some of the events planned for Florida SuperCon 2009 include a costume contest, table-top gaming, anime viewing rooms, a comic book game show, an anime music video (amv) showcase, Twilight/Harry Potter trivia, Costuming 101, advanced leather working, a “Traveling to Japan” panel, autograph sessions, anime Jeopardy, and a whole lot more!

As announced earlier, Tony Moore will also be at the convention.

Media Release -- Florida Supercon returns in 2009! Now in it's 4th year, FSC once again moves into a larger venue as the three day festival continues to grow. This year's event will take place June 5, 6 & 7, 2009 at the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel and Convention Center in Miami, FL.

The three day festival will take place in the convention center's west hall (50,000 sq. feet) and the convention center's entire second floor (over 35,000 sq. feet) making this the largest genre event to ever hit South Florida. The show will include celebrity guests, artists, writers, vendors, industry guests, Q&A's, parties, costume contests, anime programming, manga, cosplay, workshops, panels, cosplay photo shoots, dance parties, console gaming, LAN gaming, tabletop gaming, collectible card gaming, tournaments and more!
