WOOL: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL released simultaneously on comiXology and Amazon

Wool: The Graphic NovelMedia Release -- Amazon Publishing's graphic novel and comics imprint Jet City Comics and comiXology are excited to announce that the first digital issue of Wool: The Graphic Novel, an adaptation of Hugh Howey's #1 Kindle best-selling science fiction novel, will go on sale today on comiXology and Single issues in the six-issue run will release every two weeks and sell for $2.99 on comiXology. The entire comics run will also sell for $4.99 as a Kindle Serial on, with new issues delivering automatically to customers on the same release dates, and as a $4.99 bundle on comiXology once all six issues are released. The print edition of the collected graphic novel will be available on and at other retailers in late August.

Amazon launches new imprint Jet City Comics

Jet City ComicsMedia Release -- )—Amazon Publishing today announced the launch of Jet City Comics, a new imprint focused on comics and graphic novels. Jet City launches with new comics from George R.R. Martin, Hugh Howey, and Neal Stephenson, starting with today's publication of "Symposium #1," the first original Foreworld comic from the series created by Neal Stephenson, Greg Bear, Mark Teppo, Nicole Galland, Erik Bear, Joseph Brassey and Cooper Moo. Original adaptations of George R.R. Martin's short story, "Meathouse Man," and Hugh Howey's best-selling science fiction novel, Wool, will follow in October. Jet City issues will publish on Kindle as standalone comics, as serialized comics released over multiple episodes, and as bundled graphic novels, with print editions available at and other comics retailers.

BLACKBURN BURROWAmazon Studios, the original content arm of, Inc., is introducing an all-new digital comic book today - Blackburn Burrow, a story set in Civil War America where supernatural horrors are infesting a small Appalachian town in Northern Georgia. Blackburn Burrow first came to Amazon Studios in the form of a feature film screenplay from writer Jay Levy. Community feedback, gathered from Amazon Studios' crowdsourcing model, triggered the idea for the popular project to be adapted into a digital comic that would be shared with audiences for feedback and tested for viability as a major motion picture.
