Those awfully nice chaps at Comic-con International have arranged a special event for ELEPHANTMEN fans at San Francisco’s Concourse (620 7th Street)! Yes, the APE event, which we're pretty certain is an acronym for ALL PRAISE ELEPHANTMEN and not "Alternative Press Expo" as the site misleadingly claims.

Clickwheel LTD is proud to announce a new addition to its premium roster in ELEPHANTMEN. True to it's Sci-Fi themes, ELEPHANTMEN and Starkings are eager to help Clickwheel push the boundaries of comics as we know them:
From the Hip Flask web site: In order to help Moritat get ELEPHANTMEN back on schedule, Roaring Rob Steen, FLANIMALS illustrator and STRANGE EMBRACE colorist, has stepped in with a disturbing story set during the events of ELEPHANTMEN #0. Originally scheduled for ELEPHANTMEN #15, Rob turned the story in in such good time, we decided to pull it forward to give Moritat a quick breather.

From the Hip Flask web site: Richard Starkings & Moritat will be at the Image Comics Booth #602 yakking and sketching, respectively. Our good buddy Tim Sale will be at booth A-24, talking Tim Sale Black & White, Heroes and Captain America: White as he turns out gorgeous wash drawings.
Don't miss these panels on Saturday in Room B:
Newsarama's Ryan the Iowan published his Yearly Review Power Rankings, featuring his picks for the Best of 2007, and singled out Moritat as Best Penciller of the Year!
"I'm speechless," reported the Artist formerly known as Justin Norman, "And also very, very cold," with that, Moritat ducked out of the rain into his local library with nothing more than an armful of drawing paper and a bellyful of Seattle's Best coffee, and promised not to emerge until the art for WAR TOYS #2 was completed.
"Every issue of Elephantmen has captured my undivided attention with its rich vignettes of the members of Nikken's army and artwork that I'm not sure will ever be topped."
— Chris Murman, Line of Fire Reviews
Image Comics reports that ELEPHANTMEN #11 has sold out at distributor level within a month of its release. If you missed out on this issue, scour your local comic book store for copies -- and place upcoming issues on reserve -- as there are no plans for reprints of this issue or #10, which is also sold out at Diamond.
