Media Release -- "Seven Peaches," a collection of the first seven Desert Peach episodes that was funded by the Xeric Grant, has sold out.
The Xeric Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation established by Peter A. Laird, co-creator of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Planet Racers. The Foundation offers financial assistance to committed, self-publishing comic book creators and qualified charitable and nonprofit organizations.
October 17, 2008- The lives and afterlives of the Desert Peach and Stinz continue. At a roller derby tournament – Rosen is a huge fan -- the Peach meets an old friend from the Quick Times. A questionable treasure brings back memories of an old war. The Peach loses his lunch – and his head – at After Reichisch entertainment.
Per Donna Barr, An Insupportable Light will ship one month late.
She says "The new revised "An Insupportable Light" will ship in December, not in November. So you have one more month to get those copies ordered. Since Diamond sends out orders in November, and I hit Lulu.com for books as soon as I get the order, you should still be safe ordering for the winter holidays."
AN INSUPPORTABLE LIGHT is the original Stinz novel, featuring Donna Barr's half-horse hero back when she thought of him as having two legs instead of four. This is the new 2008 revision.
The story begins at the end of one war, with the hope of peace. Then one small incident after another, building and combining like pebbles tossed down a slope, become an avalanche of misunderstandings, broken hearts, fury and revenge. It's about how wars start: nobody wants them, nobody can see them coming and nobody can stop them.

Donna, this ties into the demise of Cold Cut Distribution in the sense that publishers, retailers and readers need to made aware of all the means to deliver or receive comics and other published goods. If you'd like to put together something, no matter how long or brief, that would give people more options, I'd be glad to present it on my site.
