A mere 60 copies of the Obamaesque (is that an adjective already?) Shepard Fairley-inspired cover have been printed, with 50 copies hand-numbered and signed by Licensable Bear creator Nat Gertler. The numbered copies are currently available via Hero’s eBay store.

Media Release --Hero Initiative and Meltdown Comics are pleased to announce 100 Bullets: Last Shot, the farewell party to the critically acclaimed Vertigo/DC Comics series 100 Bullets on July 11th, 2009. Media Release -- Los Angeles, CA (May 18, 2009)— Hero Initiative is very proud to announce the release of Hero Comics. The 32-page, no-ads comic, edited and produced by Scott Dunbier, special projects editor at IDW Publishing, will be released in late July with two covers, Eve by J. Scott Campbell, and Grendel by Matt Wagner. The fundraising book will contain great, all-new content including an original American Flagg! story by Howard Chaykin, and original stories by Gene Ha, Bill Willingham, David Lloyd, and Kaare Andrews.
In addition, Arthur Adams will recreate three classic Marvel Comics covers, and Hero Initiative beneficiaries such as Gene Colan, Bill Messner-Loebs and Josh Medors will tell their own personal stories, detailing their severe struggles, and Hero's involvement.

The book features an original cover by legendary artist Tim Sale, well-known for his illustrations in Spider-Man: Blue, and Batman: The Long Halloween. The books retail for $20 each, and production is strictly limited to 200 hand-numbered copies. Artwork from 22 top artists is featured, including works from Dan Brereton, Mike Choi, Dave Johnson, Joseph Michael Linsner and Paul Smith. The Hero Initiative Emerald City Comicon Sketchbook will be available exclusively at Hero’s booth, #507 on the floor.
