ComicList: Manga for 09/12/2007

September 15th, 2007 1:05am by ComicList Email

Our friends at MangaCast write The Comics List returns and there is plenty to talk about (even if most of our comments are about the All in One).

Bandai might only be releasing two titles right now (and they only have one more planned). Witchblade gets most of the pub (positive or negative) but Eureka Seven is a title that you should actively be looking for. Great compliment for the solid anime and the imagery might actually make it superior.

If you haven't picked up High School Girls maybe it is about time you checked it out. This is easily the best comedy in English but then again the content makes it the raunchiest title that is not 18+. From Eroica is a different type of humor but this is a guilty pleasure of mine. Very silly, very different and very smart; this shoujo classic is one of the original crossover titles. Worth a look if you need a break from all your SEINEN UP-ping.

Oh and about the SEINEN UP campaign. High School Girls = seinen bishojo. Tsukihime = seinen action. Tekkon = SEINEN Must Read!

Omega The Unknown #1 FIRST LOOK

September 13th, 2007 1:45pm by ComicList Email

Jonathan Lethem, the award winning novelist of Motherless Brooklyn, Fortress of Solitude and the new hit novel, You Don’t Love Me Yet, re-imagines one of Marvel’s most offbeat heroes in Omega: The Unknown #1 (of 10)! In 1975, co-writers Steve Gerber and Mary Skrenes created the mute, reluctant anti-hero Omega: The Unknown, but the series only lasted for 10 brief issues. Now over three decades after the original series launched, Jonathan Lethem will set out to redefine Omega.
